  Chapter Four

  A Certain Valor

  The expercation of evident and essence that were in the precepts and principles of presence and evocative... Obeying the imminent laws of thought, action and purpose as a purportment of inner-indication; from which course, commandment and ordinal-integration took shape. Along with her-skills, ability and adeptness she'd exerted competence all-with an afeasance of copulate-capability.

  Striving to reach, install and be precise and proprietary in virtue and vision is a pretext which unfolded in her-life. A enterprising-'stewardship' procreated and edipal, ardent and repletely, arduous. Along with an investment of mental-and providential-interest, there was an according that was prevalent and promoting. ...From the precis of 'fun in the sun' to a blossoming city-life, to being liaison-detective, to dedicated and devoted-work and its refinement; it was all an interpretative and fully-valued, as an incursionary...

  The sky was bright-ocean 'blue', as she rode alongside the shore in the late-afternoon; it was a placidly, 'glorious' and natural-scene' that people paid money for... She adored this 'local'-attribute; for tomorrow was a Wednesday, work would require her to facilitate in a new-'drive' and determination. Work was very 'cathartic'; it was like living a dream, one where endowance was preserved by intention.

  Driving-back, along the inner-lanes leading-into downtown; she saw the large statues of Justice and Law. ...She'd felt moved by the symbols of human-contrition, and order... Although she played a small-role in the 'Machine' of civilization; she was 'glad' to be there.

  By 2 pm, she was in the arraignment-room, where all the duty-masters hanged-out before next-day's regiments... ...The future 'resolves', registers and resources were to begin there. It was all the 'stars' of statutory; from court-agents to coordinators to assignees-everything that had to do with litigation and legality...

  ...What was a construct and literal-legitimacy of the work. Establishings and inter-workings of all that was court-duty. This was Prey's 'element', she'd spent most of her life understanding and interpreting, in what was the value of virtual-validity... Like all she'd grown to learn; in native-duty and development, she had a keen-sense of derivation. ...Entailed in an order and intellect, she weighed-'heavy' on articulation... The fine and refined-work, was in the sharp-intellect of an admirative-mind...

  ...An esoteric and essential by 'mitigation'-aided and installed, as an accurate serving and sophistication... An embasis, to tow the line under any-circumstance. There was to be no-distractions, in her-acute and accurate-assertion and ascertaining... The especial-'need' for accomplishment, that would receive the certainty and sensibility; for which any Justice-system would be very-happy-to attain by anyone.

  A near universal-autonomy, that went a long-way into investing and availing of certain-terms. By day's end everyone would be ready for their last-cup of coffee, and invest in rest and recreation, in relaxation. They walked-out the door of the central-processing office, and out to the lot. It was around 10 pm... The Unit was done for another day, a Thursday-night, the outdoors was quiet with crickets and swallows and lightning-bugs. It was very-relaxing to Prey. She'd be asleep in a little-while. She had blossomed and grew; from an innocent threshold-child to the inquisitive-neophyte of native and west-coast origin; as having trained-horses in which she rode and enjoyed so very well...

  ...Their brown, black and white coats, she made shine with a natural-'sheen', their hooves which required delicate and exacting-attention. ...To the devoted and defined-decency of an uncle, whose joy-in life transposed-on to her-own. His gentle and large-hands guided hers into an intent and induction. The many wherewithals for which purpose and pulse-enjuved, impressed and made a derivation. The implyings and independence for which heart and honing were-revealed. ...The return to home to enjoy and engage the many vocals, and fascinations of one's youth, talent and childhood. The many factors and terms both entertained and were educational.

  The exaction and experience of times and extollings were as vibrant as an undertone; and what as an 'imbibing', as a truly virtual-understanding and interpretation. The institution and constitution, so evident and to be a fidelity and confidence. The determined and especial-assurety and security, so possibly and potentially, providential. The personal-warmth, and social leanings-subjective and superimposed; in an 'entity' and entitled, of a life-lived. What was a 'love', by way of accounting-and accruing-contention... And a world of heart and hope, in a home, to be endeared. ...By what was a delight and self-deliberation. A careful-restitution abled and universal.

  ...The institution of 'Time', had taught and determined; what life would be like. It was illustrious, elemental and given her much 'reward' and confidence. What her people taught was the most-rewarding, and justifying by living. Her people's long ancient-strength, which had survived over time... The imagined and immargined; discipline and 'discipleship', that which ran across 'millennia'. Now super-imposed by life, and effort. It was a sense of 'harmony', for which sentiment and sustainment-aided; to run its course. Like so many heritages, one's that ran-on like an epic.

  North-American life, now modern day California; as her people, she had a story to be told and extolled. L.A., was a modern-epic, to be lived-out. ...Purported and proven as her-elders taught, one lived-out a story which always had a deep-meaning... An intricate-meaning by which prevailed and proved-on its own... Only to be a basis, for the next. Prey believed, there was still much to be 'told'. And incentive and intensity, that would always require that one attain a higher-logic...

  The expanse across time and place that would always be experiences and expressions of deeds and developments. ...What one is to exert and exact with a self-assizing portrayed and perceived, as lessons in all-life. The many 'laws', factors and roots of which the turning-points of life's purpose-intertwines and revolves. And how one fits into it all, for the course and recourse-vies and evades, in what we know as the 'truth'. Imposing and impacting, in the deemed and delicate-decisions deriving the determinations of life and livelihood. The auspicions and expectations one comes to know, all a 'forte' and fathom, in the sometimes intentive and odious-missive. What can be as a conjuring-fate... But with ardour and arduous-meaning we gain and are given 'expansion' and intimate-exposition.

  There was as much 'liberty' as lamenting, to all that existed from the farthest-ocean to the closest-mountain. Each 'element' went through every-essence, though not everything was known, somethings were wise-questions, unanswered. Prey was taught in the ways of 'great and small'; that in the placid and sereneness-of space and time, that an anointed-energy, ran through it all. That a subtle and sealed-kindness ran within-it all. And this deliberate-'oneness' would reveal itself to each being and entity. An encouraged, adjoining and attaining was meant for every-creature great and small. Embased, was the 'Spirits' of matter, in Mother Earth and Father Sky... This, grand-philosophy was affirmed by Prey and all her family's and tribes...

  In the engaging-of culture and commandments, she understood and universalized; about her every-pretense and potense-allayed and allowed. Work, engagement and enterprise were asserted, independent and 'individual' by resources abided and ratified in the committed-enterprise and again exerted within the hallows of honor, hope and heart.

  An extension of growth, granting and of greater-things. Life, in the especial-world of justice, duty and devotion were in care and culminating... That in the judgment of youth and joy, the devising of development and deriving and all that had become admirative and important were now a nexus of her life and love. The central-culmination astute and assigned in perception and the many 'parables'-assessed and deduced. The austere-sentiment for which corollary-and concise-content were a bridge-work to life... ...The 'esoterica' and establishment for which as an 'importality', and comport; were in a fragile-framework, allowed to be played-out.

  The warm-Spring would turn-into a hot-Summer, the waves of the ocean once subtle a
nd settled would rush with activity. The beige white sands would smooth with seaside activeness. And Prey's life would rotate and take its course. She remembered while still-young, her many vestments and vitalities which were to come and go; throughout a determined and affixed-existence.

  The perpetuation of dawning and redeeming-times, which had formed and come to refocus, the moments of what was joy and jovialness... The impetuation that had fortune and befallen, a life. The worthiness and reward revealed and rationalized in a life. A representation, sometimes impunitive to a cause and reparation; all engineering the persistence and conception of force and claims... The earnate-divisions and ultimate-recessitudes, were by today's right and worthiness; asserting the worth and reliance only she could make. The virtual-substance and wherewithal were lessons only trust, truth and residence could make... The many ancient-parables were understood and offered up, instilling in an 'Epiphany'. The resolving-restitution were still in accordance with a self-salvo and sufficiency.

  As she rode along the lower-basin of middle-L.A., she was accounting for what was her adaptive-work, at hand. In what was an accolade and accommodation, intentful and incentivized. ...The enthusiasm-entitled and ethical-illuminations of life were always there, for all to see... ...In the scale and scope of an enriched-lifestyle. And the permissions of life and love grew every-day. A career-job which had been installed and interstitial, had been reproved, a lot.

  She'd proved by paces and forewarnings to what was duties, devisings and developments. And then after-work, she'd probably unwind with a beer with colleagues. All-being 'attuned' to the subdivision of commitment and competence. The ever-present in caring and incursions; provided for in implicative-cause.

  ...The two-would intertwine and be a 'vocal'; all to be reckoned-with... But for now was entailed and universally, understood and identifiable. Work like war, was a fight against the 'Devil', and afterward was the colluding of being in 'Heaven'; and the principles of angels were the virtue of a locality of an assign, along as whichever you were, was a terra-force; all your needs were met. The many revealing-relevances for which was purpose and propriety, that vied and ventured-forth, like the 'Old-West' earning a place in time; a place, Prey revered in the utterly, awesome eloquence for which today was as asserted and assounding, in undertaking and interpretation, what would become an awareness and affiliation... She was, in terms, an origination; and on a devoted, self-oracle.

  ...Her-values we're adamant and atoning, a lifestyle and innate-standing of instance and incentive, over time. An allegorical-advantage and advancing, which dated: time and place. There was no irrational or irrelevance to what was her-life. She had to live out her life, in her own time. ...The especial-'centrality' and certainty, which mostly was assimilated and a self-assession. All was at an adjustment and a 'certainty'. She knew what had been an sophistication and surmounting, in life. She took 'little' for granted, and what was essentially, objectified in what came to be.

  Her-virtues and venerability was in vying and vocation, much had come into being inspired. It was an 'intricacy', progressed and made be a practicality upon... The many 'philosophical-murgers' engendered and engaged; that proved and was prevaricated, in what became attainment and accounted for.

  In what was a self-science of associated, and an extenuation-attempted and attained by human-vocation, in an intent and insinuation... What was probably an innately, serious-influence by which commending and accommodate, what oriented and officiated her life. The promise and principles; pronounced and protracted from what was thought to officiency. What was an accurate-ordinal to be achieved and associated. For now, the experience and established-arrived and availed. In the ideal-intention and illuminated in an aptitude and accounting.

  The many 'worlds' and 'wars' of work and rationales, which were accepted and adopted by a reliance and relativeness... Learning, what was both purporting and impunity, to all-sides of portrayal and duty. In an intricate-instilling, devised and devoted. All the capacitory-availings had come front-and-center to work, life and duty. She'd been admonished by a very-capable assignor, to an utter contraction of very-adept, instillment and inspirational.

  The scheme and scale, to which the arbitrary became astute; was by 'aphorism' of a grand and wise-uncle: '...The strong-eagle's talons stay sharp, though he flies 'high', he scores with the 'strength' of talented-diligence...' So Prey, accepted and understood that a universal-utility would require a relevant-assertion. Impeccability, was a 'resort' in times needing 'notice' and connotation, even the best-assertion retains a solace and symmetry, to all that came along. Devotion and durability, are in actual-resigning for which one comes to command and comprehend.

  Attained and adjusted, were carefully made 'concise' and considerable, the emotional and intellectual compendium-of work, dedication and drive; a resolve to be so well-balanced and potent in a based-'bravery'. ...So motive and mastery, were traversed and transcendent of a learning-'liberty' for which the trusting-designs can favorably, mean forte' and fact. If she were to meet the 'best' and truest-understanding, and interpretation; it had to be established and met.

  The many 'entities'-issued and intentionalized as the 'ruans' of thought and favor, Prey deduced and conducted as her-job with a deep and revering-sense of assurance and sophisticate-assertivity... A polgrom-recividity, which in the careful coalition of tact and terms; she became the better-detective. The deeds and endeavors, proved and professed-of an intimate-inclusion and implication, in which the times and trials were adamantly, imparted; the even-contention and eventuality that created a dutiful-devising.

  Prey, was conferred by an entitlety-incurred and engendered with ease; she was able to plot and progressively, atone, articulately and attributively. The domestic-reality of self and others, were always to be an essential-echelon by which in the deeper-details, arranged in a greater-sense of devotion and development. It would become a very practical, to participate in a central-and civil-embases in utility of all-around expertise. She had an assured-grounding from her in-depth background. Emotions, which sometimes create problems, were mostly absent in Prey's past, her inert-experience had adjusted and defined; in a heavy-division that a past of devout-family, devoted-studies and developed-duties.

  Jefferson Hall, was were violators, defense-attorneys and prosecutors set about their differing-work. The rains fell that night so the concrete and marble buildings and lattice had wet-sheen on it. On solemn and sullen days as this Tuesday would mean everyone from Judge to defendant realized the purportment and relevance of all that was to occur. There would be no impassive or intervention in tolls, and charges... An expectation, and experience no one was to be taken for granted.

  Empowerment and 'impunity', were to be taken seriously. The many 'theories', which prevaricated in the times and terms of a day, would prove and disprove an ordinance and a significant ordinal. It was 'bridge-work', no doubt about it. There was to be no indifference or insignificance, to be played-out or demonstrated-in work of the court of law... As much as they were dedicated to their-jobs, so there was sincerity and sustainable-'cordiality'; for which design and indubitableness, were to be decided.

  How Prey fleurished, and understood was by an appointed-and apparent-application... So everyday, work was commended-with a characteristical-attaining. The many arnate and individual-themes required that one was at his or her 'best'. As duty-called, one's innate-propriety meant one functioned within certain-'parameters'. It was a 'do-or-die' orientation and oracle... The influences which had came about were by the advent and institution of rule and society, she was as hallowed-in the instilling and instrumentality of time and place. It was much like an 'orchestrated-ship'. By the command and decree, a full-metropolis could be processed and accountable. An L.A. justice system was very suitable; with every internalist and internee; the log and deduction was certified and successfully, utilitized and adjusted...

  With the purpose, Prey came t
o know so well, what was fabricated and ensued with 'worth' and regency. The 'mighty'-weight that carried the omnipotent-principle of law. Growing-up, she learned many precepts of respect and discipline with a definitive-fortune of its 'deep' and grand-understanding; which were invaluably, interpreted as a higher-knowledge by native-teachings, one could say that it fitted her like a-'glove'... Her standout and stand-alone recognitions and recognizance proved, inveritable. The halls were musty with paper, book-leather, and age-old wall-plaster after decades of patriation. To set upon the universal-attendance of human's coming and going. The largesse of suffiency and sound, were carried and pushed ever-forward in time...

  The retention-rate of crime and law were impeccably, understood like a Chess game or a valued-scope from which the perceptiveness being like 'surgery'; but after, an affirm of schematics, which were extolled and given 'vivid-life'.

  The many 'inertias' and innovations were stimulated in a stirring, new-energy into what could be exerted and instituted. Prey could immediately see the details and 'grooves' to what would become her finest-work; as a young-pupil of the form, she grasped and felt the inherent-consistency of depth, duty and derivation. She knew how, what, who, which and when to the science of jurisprudence...   As she rose-up the main-steps leading to the entryway of judges courts, technical rooms, and many allusionary offices... The Justice-building, sat in central L.A. city, you couldn't miss it; it rose 21-floors to the top where a breathtaking view of outer-downtown, and there community and communication-councils, took place.

  Devoting to the 'betterment' of society, and divorcing-from the eluding of justice by city-proper which was 'memorially', always something to see. ...Shows like 'Dragnet' always seemed to mention the city from this standpoint. It was a true-endowing to be there as or of a 'mission', and one of the 'cogs' of its inner-workings...

  Rising among the courts, counselor-halls and the like; she was to attend meeting's of judge and counsel before active-duty, with the guises of party-representatives, the provisions were to be 'guidepost' to evidence, incidentals and displays. Prey was responsible for several-dozen active and articulating-contentions, which she knew very-well about... Her expedience and expertise, followed hand-in hand. Her 'sharp-eye' was very-accurate; most judges welcomed her with as a breath of fresh-air... When she arrived, she was welcomee with a smile, name, hand-shake and a cup of dark-coffee... As she went to work on her-paperwork, she was surrounded by an eager-entourage who wanted to learn from 'the best'.

  Since the age of six, she'd shown an astute-aptitude, so now she was use-to it. In actuality, in a simple-number of years she taught a small-army of 'Prey-ophytes', who now show her-diligence in style and formality. ...By 9:45 am, her duty would be done, and then enforcer-duty... The next-job was to be in detective-garb, by lunch...

  The reputation and relationship, Prey had with her-staff and those on general-patrol were ever-efficient in their carrying out of duties. As Prey well knew, was by the ordinances and codes which guided and affirmed policing-protocol, as a Let. Detective she held her-teams actions-'close'. The division through which she plotted and planned, was by her Captain and Commissioner, but day-to day 'obsequiousness' was paired-by team and leadership... It took a cop with integrity and perpetuity to both be on her team and prove themselves worthy of its honor.

  ...The team, were taking their notes and getting orders for what was to come. Midday-duties of which latter-month patrol occasionally consisted of, on a bimonthly basis. It was a time to expose each competent-leader to factors and frameworks, to each designated-entity... Besides, being a new-condition everyone had an awareness to what occurred. In instance and implication, there would always be a ratification and rationale. The many prospects and pertinences, divulged and allowed to be seen and revealed.

  And Prey, developed a true-commanding to be situated and sharper, most-officers truly, enjoyed being-there. It was like a rewarding-recreation to enlist and learn. ...The streets and boulevards, would again be taken-up for an observation. The sun-filled morning, glistened on the once wet a.m., the six-lane thoroughfare were residing in all number of active street-businesses, the vibrant and alive-occupants carried on, it went on like this for many miles... Their-patrol was in lower Northern L.A., where most people carried-on in a simplistic 'harmony'. Prey knew the area like the back of her-hand.

  Although, she couldn't let any area become a 'pet-project',

  she had an enamored, implicit-depiction; which fostered and configured-into what was a 'tempid'-understanding. She knew being on this block as any, meant you choice your substantial-'symptoms'. In the world of prison and pinion, things could change in an instant. The urban-area was like the 'Buffalo', you could hunt it for days and you would never catch the same one, but city-life was only predictable if you understood the law and theory-there. Too much of any thinking, persistence or emotion and you'd be up a tree with delineations; every property, and proposal, was the mind and mentality of each and every-citizen. It was no wonder violence and police-authority were 'subjective'. Any manner of things were surmised and set upon to a legal-decision...

  The patrol-ended down at the loading-docks, there, because crime knew were their bread and butter came-from... A waylay station had a way of motivating others to crime from stealing to murder, and it was 'Hell on wheels', as an ambition...

  The many constellations of violation and violence, were technically and teologically, grave and gravity; from which committing and common-stance, played-out. That money and mayhem transmogrified into action and intent... And the police, having to do there job before danger, became 'deed'. From friends to foes, the acted and acted-upon... As the institution-of law and justice, Prey both engineered and utilized; in the central focus of the legal-field. ...Assuming that the inordinate-classivities, were a deriving and driving-'locus' adhered to what was remenstrative-functional, by what was a 'universe' of ordinal-facts. From the 'homeless' to the habitual, to the harboring-all circulated around their place as locals and imminent-locales...

  The early-day air invigorated the not to solemn altruism of the L.A. peninsula. Shore-life was one of the only true tranquil-areas. The arena of living and zest, seemed to calm in the relative-virtues, there. Most seemed to emulate in its better-terms. Shipping, packing and offloading were moment-by-moment activities.. Luckily, most-enlodgers kept up the code. Prey knew the ordinate-principle and the cold hard facts, also. There was a 'fragile'-network to the interpretational-reinforcement of their job-there and throughout greater-L.A. proper; like any living in the city of such size, semantics and symposium made for a cherished-identification, and as well a romantic-decline against any self-contriving.

  ...If you lived here, you knew its manifest and 'majesty'... And the gentle and utter-vitality, emerging in-life here meant a 'realizable-refining' as a ramifiable, remuneration. As she watched the many, do posturous-'columns' of what she knew, in her job: reparation was a reprise and imposing... The horns of boats-blew heavily, potentially and hauntingly. They were there to detail and identify, any analyzed-region and incidents... They had to make it to be recognized the direct-reference, obligation and objectivity. Because a universal-commense in satisfying the remnants of the work at-hand. It was in Prey's blood and most people knew-it.

  ...As sure as the ancient-culture, so were today's inimitable-times. As they made way, along the harbor-lanes she and all her-team knew and identified with all the sentiments and semantics, in which she engaged with special-'expertise'. On the streets along the way, across their sector, were eventual and evident.

  The harbor, would give way to fish-markets to seafood restaurants to recreation, reclusive and other touring-entendres, as a policing-area; most officers and area-attendants realized their-miss
ion. This, over a carefully congealed-relationship, was fed and kept-'healthy'. While everyone was onboard there was always the relevance and 'reality' that was kept with careful-comiseration. They'd make their-way south and east, and run along the lower outer-roads...

  Many of the issues, incidents and altercations; for which the average-patron required assistance and were of the team's reverent-proponents; nonaccidental, strident and definite; from a major-case to grand-theft, this was their-main case-load... None of them, were unassigned in such work, calls and assignments, which were in their-accomodation. Prey had been listening to the band-radio, which by her 'keen'-sense of observation. By 10 am, the jargon were getting-closer to vicinity to a 'virtual'. Then, with the facets of timing and terms, they began to follow-up. '...Patrol, assault robbery taking place on Monterrey and Hills Place; two-assailants taken off at a high-speed in possibly Porsche or BMW...'. '4-Lambda 10, attending to the scene, ETA 8-minutes, Lambda 10-out.' Two cruisers were assigned under Detective Little-horse. ...After speaking with the shopkeeper, the very-active and lucrative-site for a business, the owner who'd run his business himself probably had a difficult time in what was a worthy-grab.

  ...'If you think I'm going to give-up my hard-earned money...'. ...'He might have been stronger, but I caught good sight of him, heavy-set...' 'Drove away in a sports-car, done up right; probably one of those 'New-Jacks', up in the Northeast-side...'. Prey got all his vital and instrumental-information and the others on the team were searching for evidence across the whole-scene, discovering and uncovering all that was to the story of what occurred, oriented and deduced to what had happened... From origin to aftermath, every type of relative and actuality was to be layed-out and actuated. ...Cliff Weavers, went back behind the counter; Andrew Parsons began discovery, in the vestibule; and two-officers who arrived to subjugate, relay and make reference, the team would allow C.S.I.-agents to takeover and portray what had been gained, would be 'telegraphed'; by detecting-credibility.
